A smoky-cherry sweet BBQ chicken dish grilled to perfection, featuring a non-alcoholic peach-based glaze that caramelizes beautifully on the tender chicken. Perfect for summer cookouts or special weeknight meals.
Ingredients
4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
1/4 cup apple juice (non-alcoholic)
1/2 cup peach puree (or 2 fresh peaches, blended)
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
2 tbsp water (to adjust sauce consistency)
Instructions
Preheat grill to medium-high heat (375°F/190°C)
In a small bowl, mix apple juice, peach puree, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Set sauce aside
Season chicken thighs liberally with salt and pepper
Grill chicken for 5-6 minutes per side, until nearly cooked through
Brush sauce generously over chicken during last 2 minutes of grilling
Let rest 5 minutes before serving
Notes
For a non-grill alternative, broil for 5-6 minutes per side
Adjust sauce thickness by adding more water if needed
Store leftovers in airtight container in fridge for up to 3 days
